Wedding planning may seem like an easy-breezy task but when the time comes to put the plan in action, nothing comes easy. With so many options hanging in the air, the dilemma of choosing one dress out of so many bridal dresses can make you want to pull at your hair. To make all this a little easier, Sara Chapra from Carbon Events arranged a wedding expo in Karachi in 2018 which featured a vision for 2020 and it became a huge hit for all the right reasons! The event named The Wedding Atelier hosted in Pearl Continental was perfect for the married to be couples that are trying to put together the wedding of their dreams. The hit event provided a luxurious wedding guide for all the grooms and brides to be. Presenting 25 categories ranging from jewelry designs to décor, interior setting, and Pakistani bridal dresses, photography trends to invitation cards, the event covered all grounds.
From choosing the venue to picking up one style for the décor, ordering the new dresses to book a makeup artist, not one task is of less priority but things can be made a bit easier if you narrow down to the trends of the year! This expo proved to be super helpful in this regard that it provided information regarding all aspects of a wedding.
The vision set for 2020 in 2018 couldn’t be more spot-on because those are exactly the trends that people are following this year. Starting from the jewelry, Statement-making necklaces and bold chandelier earrings are in fashion in 2020. In terms of style, it is leaning more towards traditional and antique looks. Coming to bridal dresses, the focus is on full-bodied dresses that are statement worthy. Antiquity inspired embroideries are being seen. The colors for Pakistani bridal dresses chosen are either super vibrant or pastels. Talking about makeup, gone are the heavy glams and in their place are subtle soft glams that enhance and bring out the delicate look of the bride. No makeup looks which features rosy cheeks and nude glam really help bring focus to the bridal dresses. Your bridal look is not complete without the additions of sparkly accessories such as a peculiar looking clutches and bags.
We were able to get a few words from the face behind the event and this is what she had to say for the immensely positive response she got, “Through this grand wedding show, the idea was to break boundaries by providing wedding essentials and interactive sessions all under one roof. I am overwhelmed with the response we received on the first day. Seeing so many couples come in with their families, chit-chatting with numerous experts and walking out of the venue all relaxed, felt nothing short of amazing.”
